| Details: EDUCATION NEW HORIZONS REGIONAL EDUCATION CENTERS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR Positions located at Butler Farm Campus (BF), Hampton, VA; Woodside Lane and Kiln Creek Campuses, Newport News (NN), VA Culinary Arts Instructor (Adult Education/Woodside) - Provide classroom instruction to adult students. Under general supervision, be able to teach courses in the Culinary Arts Program. Candidates must have a minimum of three to five years of verifiable experience in Culinary Arts and must be HS graduate, with some college preferred. HVAC Instructor (CTEC/BF) - To supervise, guide and instruct secondary school students in the field of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R). Must possess a HS diploma and a min. 3-5 yrs of verifiable exp. in HVAC-R trade. AAS in Technical Studies with a Specialization Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology or the equivalent is pref. Must qualify for VA Teaching Certificate to teach HVAC-R courses. Must possess a Universal EPA certification and have achieved Master or Journeyman Status as a HVAC technician and Master or Journeyman Status as a Gas fitter. Special Education Teachers (NN): BS in Special Ed; VA Teacher Certificate with an ED or MR endorsement. Teacher Assistants (NN): HS grad; 2 yrs of college preferred; some exp working with special needs children or young adults (NN).
