The accounting manager will oversee general ledger accounting and financial reporting for several mutual funds and put a strong focus on developing, assessing, and mentoring staff. Typical duties are directing a team of 3-5 accountants at different levels, all fund reporting, overseeing all financial reporting including SEC filings and BOD reports, complex financial analysis to determine tax and general impact of fund performance, reviewing all fund transactions, and leading special projects. The candidate must have a bachelors degree in accounting or finances with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, 7+ years of general ledger accounting experience, 4+ years of supervisory experience with a mentoring leadership style, public accounting experience showing strong progression into a management role, excellent computer skills particularly MS Excel, superior communication skills, ability to multitask, desire to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, attention to detail, interest in the investment industry, and a proven record of excellence.
